This shrine is located on Itsukushima (Miyajima) in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which is one of the “Three Most Views of Japan.”
It is registered as a World Heritage Site along with the sea in front and the primeval forest in the back.
Because it is built on the sea, it appears to be floating on the water at high tide.
